So much has happened for me this year. It must have been an understatement to tell that 2010 was a tiring year for me. It was more than tiring. It was exhausting. It was so exhausting. It was suffocating. It was killing me. It was like a year-long grievance packed with trials and challenges. Nevertheless this year made me who I am today and prepared me for the coming year. I've been always contemplating that my life was like an old video tape played and just replayed every year until 2010 came, it forced me to grow up with a more mature way of perspective about life. I couldn't type down all the things happened but I may compare the whole experience to a sword that had gone through burning and fire to become the sharpest and deadliest weapon it can be.

With all the failures I had this year I still don't find enough reason to be bitter and rant out about the problems I had. I remember one night between the exchange of text messages with one of my friends he said that "Who would be happy having a problem" though the conversation didn't turned out to be that good the thing is that I realized that YES we or I should be happy even it's like the universe is in my shoulder, it's because I believe that God entrusted me these problems and He believes that we can make it together if just trust and keep my faith to Him. That's why I believe having a problem is not a reason to whine and be bitter about life.

Many friends told me that I never had a problem, they're wrong in fact as I listen to them sharing their sentiments and problems I came into my wit that I even have greater tribulation to face, and I keep on thanking God for making me strong to face all those downfalls I had with full of courage and with out coming to the point of breaking down, I mean there's nothing wrong with crying and whining about problems in life if that's the kind of coping mechanism you had, it's just I feel proud with myself and very thankful to God that I was able to surpass [and still battling some of it  until now] with full of bravery and I can even manage to smile, laugh and live my life to the fullest.

Yes I can brag it that I grew stronger this year, and more than ready face 2011!

Bye 2010, you helped me a lot <3

Guess what's the theme for this year's Christmas party? it's "as if we don't have a theme, but there is, it's not just that obvious yea' know simplicity" LOL so due to some unforeseen circumstances we don't have a precise theme for our Christmas party this year. for the past two years we used to include in our plan the outfit we're goin' to wear 'cause there's a special prize for it.

And I didn't give a damn, I just rolled in to something not so serious and very simple.
  • plain yellow tee - since yellow's my favorite color, and it feels good to wear a happy color on Christmas ;]
  • plain black walk shorts - I'm not a denim person and I always feel so comfortable with shorts; that I could just freely move, and run around.
  • gladiator sandals - not that comfy to wear 'cause its slightly heavy, have I told you that it's one of my best finds, because if my memory reserves me right 'twas 70% off ;]
  • robot vintage necklace - got it from my cousin
  • round spectacles - I didn't wear it the whole night for it gives me a head ache every time I use it, so I just clipped it on my shirt or lend it to my neighbor friends [which you may see in other photos]
Keeping it simple because that's how it should be. Merry Christmas!

p.s. Currently watching Toy Story 1 ;D, will upload more photos from the party later.

this would be the coldest Christmas we'll be having and in times like these internet and computer are my bestfriends, but I know there's a great reason for this; I don't have any idea about it but I believe on it. The used to be routine-like yearly Christmas celebration is now change far away from it used to be, and that's not a reason to be bitter and ungrateful. Lord God we will be celebrating the day you came to be a little different but still we are as thankful as ever, thanks a lot we <3 and believe in you Happy Birthday!

I can't wait for the New Year! and the new hopes it will bring it's my only Christmas wish fresh start to live and celebrate!

p.s. ohh it's already Christmas Eve, almost didn't notice the time; BTW Merry Christmas! let's all be happy and thankful ;]

CHN experience during the Second Semester random photos; let each photograph speak for itself. I really had fun in the community, and that was because of my gorupmates; thanks Dor, Jen, Mel, Lex, Bevs, Cath, Yan, Lar, Pau, Haze, Han, and Lian! we did it!

We will be waiting for you and the GOOD NEWS.

and for once I'm bored after the longest time of being busy, no classes to attend for today 'cause Monday and Tuesday are our free days ;p So like yeah I woke with my runny nose still making me feel sick or going to be, I reckon this is the result of constant stress and strain from CHN but anyways our culmination was successful and lots of fun ;D [will upload photos soon].

I realized that being home bound once in a while is really nice, forgetting the stress in the real world though I know I have tons of work loads awaiting for me but all I care for now is just to relax, lie on the bed, be glued in front of the computer [what I'm currently doing] watch TV, eat and sleep the whole day with out merely noticing both the sunrise and sunset, isn't it amazing?

So currently I'm typing this post just after creating my FB Hipster profile which I don't really think a hipster LOL, and at the same time watching/ listening to TV, I watched Hercules in Disney Channel earlier and now tuned to Myx Presents Andrea Bocellin and David Foster My Christmas [Part 1], ohh gee listening to their Christmas songs is so nostalgic, I miss childhood again ;[

Talking about Christmas and all, I still haven't any idea how will we spend this year's Yuletide except that I know that it would be a lot different from the previous years, I still haven't shopped for gifts both for my self and loves, this might be another rush but that's alright. and yes no proper Christmas break 'cause review will suck in ehrrr no choice.

I guess I run out of something to type, let me just take my BRUNCH. Logoff.

Got the Holiday Spirit already? well it's the third day of the Christmas month and I almost didn't notice it. I have this weird feeling that this Yuletide will be different from the past years, maybe because of some major life changes but it doesn't mean it won't be as happy and fun like before. And is it just me? or the Holiday season is getting shorter and shorter every year? usually at this time of the year Christmas is everywhere, carolings and bright lights  should be in every street of the vicinity. Nonetheless Christmas must pursue in any means Lol :D

I only have one Christmas wish for this year and Lord you already know about that ;] we believe in You and in You're great plan. I hope and know that this Christmas will be more meaningful in a way or another.

Happy Holidays!

Shake it up

Shake up the happiness

Wake it up

Wake up the happiness

Come on y'all

It's Christmas time!

I believe it’s not too late for my happy Potter post.

I watched the movie a week ago [11-22-10] and up to now I still can't put into words what I actually think about it, I just have really, really mixed feelings about this movie. I really suck on reviewing a movie so just allow me to vent my sentiments about it.

Yes, it was a very beautiful movie, both visually and score-wise. The shots were beautifully composed, and it gives us a change of scenery. The film’s aesthetics really matched the content—most of it was dark and dreary, ominous and at times, kind of hopeless—and coupled with the excellent score, the scenes were made whole. I think, though, that they succeeded so well in upping the excitement of the fast-paced parts, and highlighting the hopelessness of the dreary parts, which is why when the parts filled with action were punctuated with those bleak and tragic times, there was such a big shift that it was a bit confusing to deal with. Which is why some people found it boring and dragging. Everybody stepped up their acting, especially the Trio, with performances that have into something really commendable.

One of my favorite parts of the film was something that wasn’t in the books, but encapsulated just why I loved Harry and Hermione’s friendship. It was when they were dancing to a song by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, inside a tent in the middle of nowhere, after being abandoned by Ron. I am definitely not a Harry/Hermione shipper and, even though people might read this scene that way, I feel like it was really such a great depiction of their sibling-like relationship. The song choice was also perfect, speaking about living with circumstances that they could not help.

I almost didn't notice any flaws of the movie while watching it, maybe I'm just overwhelmed by the idea that it will be the half on an end of an era, and that is my childhood. As the movie flashed in front of us, and my eyes got teary some nostalgic reminiscence was running in the deep end of my mind, those were the days that will be cherished forever.

We [my generation] really have grown up, and sad to say that yes our childhood is passing but shall never be forgotten , one more part to go and we shall bid goodbye to the movie series that we all grew up with.

Yay! as I opened my mail this morning I really didn't expect a mail coming from Philippine Blog Awards, they send me badges and an RSVP invitation for the Awards Night on December 12, but most probably I can't make it 'cause it will be held at Makati City and it's oceans away from here :[

I you have read my previous posts this blog was already nominated in Philippine Blog Awards Mindanao Division, and now IanSTAR. is nominated again in the same category, but this time it's nationwide, isn't it such an honor?

win or lose, it doesn't really matter, being on the list of nominees is already an honor and pleasure to me and to this blog.

Thank you Philippine Blog Awards for giving a chance, good luck to all nominees how I wish I could join you all in the  Award Night ;]

Just a quick update; I'm still alive though the first week of the [hopefully] last semester was pretty tough but all seem to be on the right track. It's just the first week yet it I'm already exhausted like hell my energy seem to be drained, can I endure it 'till the end? well one thing I know, I won't and I can't give up, so Heaven hear me please..

some bullets that made this exhausting week:
  • finally we had our thesis hardbounded, bye NRES bleh.
  • finally got enrolled for [hopefully] the last semester of my college life though 'twas quite late
  • 2 members were added to our group;
  • from Farmvill8 to Farmvill4 because group numbers were shuffled and sectioning was altered, I ended up to section A after too much anticipation of becoming a section C ;[
  • seemingly to be endless sleepless nights for CHN stuff like the 'effing Com-Ass
  • we had our Community Assembly last 11/12/10 and 'twas a success ;D
p.s. I'm off to not-another-overnight-for-CHN stuff, wish us luck! a lot of it ;]

I really had fun this sembreak, full of outings and merry making happened, my schedule was rarely emptied and have been usually filled with both non and school activities. but its the only sembreak I did not showed up to any high-school gathering, but still had enjoyed the sembreak and still craving for more LOL.

*random outing with random college friends
*retreat with 4A 10/21-23/10
*FarmVill hangouts for community stuffs and etc.
*let the photographs speak for it self.

Indeed time flies fast when we're having fun ;]

This is a super-duper delayed post, and blame it to the biyotch Smartbro. Anyways my humble blog has been nominated in the recent Philippine Blog Awards Mindanao for Best Blog Personal Category, I didn't win but still being listed in one of the finalists is a pleasure to me and a milestone for IANESCENCE, I was not able to make it to the awards night because it was held in Zamboanga City and it's oceans away from here, plus I have a lot of errands to run, and tasks to do. this was quite late yet still a GOOD NEWS cheers!

I'm not really an admirer of Katy Perry cause most of her songs are like girly-flirty-bitchy type and I'm a loyal fanboy of Greenday and Taylor Swift, but as I saw the Lyric Video, Trailer and interview about her new music video plus the video of the story behind it, for once I appreciated her.

The message of the song and each story behind every young people in the video is so inspiring, like them I also have huge dreams in life and is also experiencing trials and tribulations but no matter what I chose to be my self in facing all of those challenges that came my way, because you could only be happy if you accept who you are and never be afraid to show yourself to world as the song says "you're original, can not be replaced" we all have our own spark in our selves it's in how we ignite the light a let it shine ;]

we are all a firework, with different colors and has our own worth to show the world and the people around us!

for everyone

10/30-31/10We spent the Halloween this year with the cousins at Isla Jardin Del Mar, one of the beaches of Gumasa. It was new for me to spend the Halloween at the beach because three years ago we usually dressed-up ourselves with Halloween costumes and have a Trick-or-Treat within the vicinity. I am not really a beach person, and I didn't enjoyed swimming in the salt water of the beach cause I'd rather channel my aquatic skill on a pool ;D hence with a great company and a soothing air-conditioned room I did enjoyed every moment celebrating this year's Halloween!

p.s. I am currently @ the cafe, I can't access Multiply at home and I have no idea if it's the SmartBro, Browser or the Computer itself has the problem; I should've uploaded the photos on time and I don't have to waist my savings for the Cafe fee ehrrr.

*one of the highlights of our Lake Sebu Getaway .
*post process by Ate Ai, ripped from FB.

"The Lake Sebu Seven falls Zipline boast the highest zipline in Asia measuring 200meters above ground. It is composed of two lines first one coming from the first falls Hikong Alu."

"Ziplines are ziplines and it was a straightforward flying action but what I love about this zipline is the scenery. It’s the most scenic zipline"

"It was really fun and the views are just spectacular worth the P250 pesos I paid for (P200 on weekdays)"  - Ate Ai.
